If your organisation funds therapy and you also have a Unimed insurance policy, you will be able to access:
- Organisation-funded sessions, and
- Unimed-funded sessions (either 3 sessions OR a $1000 plan, shown as “up to X sessions” calculated depending on therapist price).
Accessing organisation–funded sessions
Your organisation’s funding will show as a set number of sessions (they should communicate this to you).
To access organisation-funded sessions:
- Make sure you are signed in under your organisation.
- When asked “Who is funding the session?”, select Employee, Members, EAP Booking.
These bookings will display to the therapist as Organisation (EAP) funded sessions.
Accessing Unimed–funded sessions
Unimed can provide either:
- 3 fixed sessions, or
- A $1000 plan, which converts automatically into “up to X sessions” calculated depending on the therapist’s price.
To access Unimed-funded sessions:
- Make sure you are signed in under your organisation.
- When asked “Who is funding the session?”, select Unimed, then enter Unimed details.
The booking will show to you and your therapist as:
- Unimed funded = 3 sessions, or
- Unimed funded = up to X sessions (calculated from the $1000 limit).
Notes
- Unimed does not allow session extensions.
- If your organisation allows session extensions, therapists can request additional sessions through your organisation’s funding.
- If your organisation supports therapy sessions per issue instead of per year, you can access more sessions from your organisation's funding by creating a new booking, selecting Employee, Members, EAP Booking, and entering a new therapy reason.
